SCENARIO 1
5 out of 10 of the entrepreneurs that have learnt from us, have shared that they : used to make multimillion in sales. One of them is a very famous lifestyle business started in 2002 and reached RM50 million revenue within 3 years. The founders bought buildings, cars, hotel, thinking that the good times will always roll... Unfortunately, by 2008, the whole empire crumbled. Now, the founders are quarrelling, The business is at the brink of closing. However, the new marketing manager has pushed for new channels (market mechanism) and Corporate clients have placed orders for their products. Problem is, they need a new production line, but are out of money.
There are many entrepreneurs like the above, with 15 - 25 years in business, but, year in, year out... same thing. SCENARIO 2
3 out of 10 of the entrepreneurs that have learnt from us are: those who have had experience building a business. Some have more than 20 - 50 employees. However due to unforeseen circumstances, they have to change their product & service offering to a completely new business. (pivot). Today, they have learnt to create a business that is bankable and investable, unlike previously. They are raising capital and increasing valuation, and has visibility on where this business will end up, at the stock exchange (IPO), within a medium term time frame. (4 - 5 years)
There are also those who have been running their business for a couple of years, have experienced stable growth. However, the business has never paid dividends to shareholders, because they either didn't plan for it, or don't see the point. One particular business founders who learnt from us, have now allowed their network to invest in their business, thus giving them the opportunity to grow to new territories. Today, their revenues have increased tremendously, and are also profitable. Soon they will make their shareholders very happy when they share their business profits, as dividends to all shareholders.
SCENARIO 3
The other 2 out of 10 are: new entrepreneurs, who have just started their business with fresh new ideas; some starting from scratch, also a few educators, researchers, university lecturers , who have a proven product & service, (from renewable energy to mental health) and now, they need to commercialise their product & service, find a team, and more capital to expand their business.
